SECULAR INSTITUTE OF
PONTIFICAL RIGHT FOR WOMEN
What do you seek?
 |
A way to answer God’s call: you want to
give him your whole life.
|
Moreover, you are sure that he wants
you to do so where you are, in
your profession, in your family,
and in your environment …
We have heard the same call and we
are trying to respond to it in
Caritas Christi.
The love of Christ seizes us and we want to
offer our lives to him:
 |
to surrender ourselves completely to him
in and through our lay state
|
to fully live our baptismal
dedication in celibacy chosen out of love for him
in Church and for Church
hidden with Christ in the secret of the
Father
in sisterly communion.
This commitment answers every aspect of our
call and leads us to a deep
unity of life.
Who are we?
From its beginning, Caritas Christi was
universal in her
thought and aimed to be universal in every
dimension
of the word.
We are Catholic lay women, from every
profession, environment, and
continent.
 |
Through our tremendous diversity, we tend
to express together an aspect
|
of everyone’s call to holiness.
 |
Our vocation puts us at the heart of the
universal mission of the Church as
|
contemplative apostolic lay
persons.
 |
We remain in our natural surroundings where
we assume the duties,
|
responsibilities, and service
related to our particular mission, which has its root in baptism:
 |
to testify to Christ by our life and our
presence in every reality
|
of the world.
 |
This is why, except when required by
necessity, we maintain discretion
|
about our dedication in Caritas
Christi.
 |
Living our lay state fully, we have neither
works, nor common houses and
|
at no time do we ask the institute
for material security.
How and in what spirit do we live?
 |
Christ invites us to dwell in him as he
himself dwells in us. He invites us to
|
enter into his own prayer and live
according to his Spirit.
 |
Together, in fraternal communion, we help
each other to live in this spirit.
|
This shared vocation,
that is
expressed in the Law of Life of Caritas
Christi, creates sisterly links
between us.
 |
We do not live in community, but we meet
regularly.
|
Personal help and exchanges within
the group enable us to grow
in regards to our diversities, and
our daily response to God’s call.
What are the stages of advancement in Caritas
Christi?
 |
Three years of initial formation enable a
new member to study
|
the vocation of Caritas Christi and to
decide whether it
corresponds to the call she has
received.
 |
She undertakes this formation in her normal
place through dialog. It is
|
always adapted to the real-life
conditions and to the personal vocation of each one.
 |
Annual commitments mark the advance toward
the final commitment
|
(final dedication) recognized by Church.

Although we bring diversity to our life in Caritas
Christi,
We are united in our love of God, Neighbor
and Self! |
